We've spoken to local people and compiled a list of some of the things going on in the area - whether you want to club like-minded people, or want accommodation without intrusive questions.

Although the core activity is walking there are groups who participate in climbing, canoeing, cycling, caving and other specialized activities. The group does around 20 walks a year ranging from easy walking on level ground to mountain scrambling. There is something for all abilities in the programme.

The numbers attending a walk can vary from just a few to as many as 40, the age range tends to be 30 - 50, though all are welcome. The West Wales Gay Outdoor Club describes itself as "a friendly group with a good balance of both women and men, a full annual programme - generally walking on the first weekend of each month on a Sunday, though a few throughout the wale will be on a Saturday, particularly suitable for people wishing to travel by public transport.

Each walk is usually around miles in length, with the level of difficultly for each one clearly described on our event page. As well as the monthly walks, they usually have two weekends away walking, socialising and exploring a new area. In the summer there are also shorter evening walks and cycle rides plus other social events.

Rustic Rainbow provides a relaxing environment so LGBT people can make friends and enjoy activities together such as walking, the cinema, parties and days out.

This means their events do not normally take place in bars or clubs, however they do attend several local pride events, and members are free to organise bar based offshoot events through them.
