The pearly white coat gleamed in the mellow light, and the glittering bone of the long horn jutting from the forehead slashed the light into shards of rainbow, hinting at danger. Shane had never seen anything so beautiful in his life. Almost without thought, he fan the stall door.

Five hours later, most of the Roundup guys had managed to arrange bail and disappear.
